VP-Pro USA Racing Tires dominate at the RC Pro Series!
Round 1 of the RC Pro Mid-South Division was held at LA Thunder in Hubbard Alabama last weekend. VP-Pro driver Denver Houghton was there and took TQ in Expert Truck with VP-Pro Medium Flexx Cutoffs. Denver also TQ'd 2 rounds of Expert Buggy with Ultra Flexx Cutoffs. In the main events, Denver dominated the Truggy A-main and took the win with Medium Flexx Turbo Trax. In the 1/8 Buggy A-main, Denver battled with Marcus Black for the lead the whole race and was leading but bobbled at the end finishing 2nd with Medium Flexx Turbo Trax, while Keith Seay finished 4th also using VP-Pro Turbo Trax
In Lutz Florida, the RC Pro State Series kicked off at the World Famous Hurricane Raceway at Lake Park. VP-Pro was the tire of choice as the A-mains were full of drivers running VP-Pro Racing Tires. Non-sponsored driver, Brian Shook, put in the races of his life by taking TQ in both 1/8 Sportsman Buggy and 1/8 Sportsman Truck with VP-Pro Medium Flexx Turbo Trax. In 1/8 E-Buggy, it was Gene Hickerson who took TQ also using Medium Flexx Compound Turbo Trax. Hickerson also almost TQ'd 1/8 Nitro Buggy with his new Agama Racing A8 but rolled over on the last lap of round 2 which dropped him 4 seconds back from a TQ run to 4th on the grid. In 1/8 Expert Truck, Joey "Batman" Perez qualified 2nd with VP-Pro STR Cutoffs with Walter Cruz in 3rd on Turbo Trax.
In the main events, Shook went on to win 1/8 Truck with Turbo Trax, with Pete "The Greek" bringing home 4th using VP-Pro Cutoffs. In 1/8 Buggy, Shook lead the whole main event until flaming out leaving the pits with 12 minutes to go. Billy England took the win followed by Brian Geist in 2nd using Turbo Trax and Shook in 4th. In 1/8 E-Buggy, Hickerson took an easy win with Medium Flexx Wide Turbo Trax, lapping the whole field in the 12 minute A-main event. In 1/8 Expert Truck, Cruz finished 3rd with Batman in 6th. In 1/8 Expert Buggy, Hickerson came from the back of the pack to 2nd behind Serpents's Billy Easton and had a close battle with Kyosho's Ryan Eckert the whole race. With 30 seconds to go, Eckert got by, dropping Hickerson to 3rd using Ultra Flexx Turbo Trax.
