VP-Pro USA Racing Tires & Agama Racing A8 Buggy Dominates the FORCE Series Finals!

Round #7 - the final round of the 2010 FORCE Series was held at DC R/C Off-road Park. VP-Pro USA was the official tire sponsor of the series. Everyone still in the points chase was there to compete for the Championship and the 1,000's of dollars worth of prizes from the series sponsors. The track was very dusty and slick, so VP-Pro Ultra Flexx Axman was the tire of choice in 1/8 Buggy and VP-Pro  Medium Flexx STR Cutoffs in 1/8 Truck. VP-Pro USA driver, Gene 'the machine' Hickerson, put his Agama A8 on the pole in both rounds of qualifying with Axman. In 1/8 Truck, it was VP-Pro driver Joey "Batman" Perez taking TQ with Cutoffs. In the main events, it was all VP-Pro as Hickerson took the win in Buggy followed by Scott Blaney and Brian Geist in 2nd and 3rd also using Ultra Flexx Axman. In 1/8 Truck, Batman lead the 20 minute A-main from start to finish with Medium Flexx STR Cutoffs. In the final points standings, it was Scott Blaney who brought home the Championship in 1/8 Buggy for VP-Pro USA.

VP-Pro USA Racing Tires TQ's & Wins Round 6 of the Florida Off-Road Competition Events Series!

Round 6 of the FORCE series was held at Rotonda Raceway last Sunday. It was a makeup race for the rain out the previous weekend which cause a lower turnout of 61 entries, but the track and racing was still awesome. In round 1, VP-Pro USA's Gene Hickerson was racing his new Agama A8 buggy for only the 2nd time. Hickerson took the TQ with VP-Pro Ultra Flexx Turbo Trax, just missing a 12 lap run. In round 2, Hickerson missed the start due to a dead starter box, leaving the door open for VP-Pro driver Scott Blaney to set a new TQ with a fast 12 lap run, followed by Xray driver Jared Scott also putting in a 12 lap run. In the 1/8 A-main event, there was a first lap pileup leaving the two VP-Pro drivers 11th & 12th. Blaney and Hickerson worked their way though the pack and eventually took over the lead from Jared Scott after the 1st round of pit stops. Hickerson passed Blaney after a crash half way through and the two went on to lap the field giving VP-Pro a 1st & 2nd place finish in the 20 minute main event, followed by Sean Farmer in 3rd.

VP-Pro USA Racing Tires Wins the JC SuperCup!

Round 3 of the JConcepts SuperCup was held at the new Rotonda Raceway in SW Florida. It was beautiful weather and with 76 entries, the track conditions were perfect for electric. The track developed  a very large blue groove by the time the main events came for some great racing. In 1/8 E-buggy, it was a battle between AE driver JR Mitch and VP-Pro USA driver Gene Hickerson. In round 1, it was Hickerson who put his Losi 8E on the pole with VP-Pro Ultra Flexx Axman, which held for 2nd on the grid for the A-main event. In the main event, Mitch took the hole shot with Hickerson on his bumper. Mitch clipped a pipe allowing Hickerson by. Hickerson's VP-Pro Medium Flexx Turbo Trax were hooked up and he went on to stretch a 13 second lead and took the win. Finishing 2nd was Mitch with VP-Pro USA driver Scott Blaney in 3rd, also using VP-Pro Medium Flexx Turbo Trax.
